In a recent episode of “Conversations with a Kidpreneur” hosted by Mike of Smith’s Tees, Zion Hall, the Executive Director and Head Coach of Champions Coaching’s Firebirds, shared her remarkable journey and the impactful work of her nonprofit organization. Champions Coaching Inc. is dedicated to helping BIPOC and underserved communities learn to swim, offering water safety talks, swim lessons, and a competitive swim team.
Zion recounted how the organization began as a way to keep athletes from a disbanded team together and has since grown into a recognized force in the North Carolina Triangle. The swim team, now the first Black woman-run USA swim team in the area, boasts 18 talented members who have achieved significant milestones.
Throughout the interview, Zion highlighted the progress and success stories of her athletes, including personal achievements and inspirational encounters with Olympians. She also discussed the organization’s community impact, partnerships with local groups, and growing recognition.
