Making Waves in Charlotte

Coach Z at Diversity Select Swim Camp

This past weekend was an exciting and rewarding one for our swim family! Coach Z had the honor of coaching at the Carolina’s Diversity Select Swim Camp, held at Queens University of Charlotte in Charlotte, NC. This camp is designed to bring together talented swimmers from diverse backgrounds, offering top-tier training, mentorship, and community building. Coach Z had a fantastic time working with swimmers from across the region and came back inspired and energized with new insights to share with the team.

At the same time, our very own senior swimmer Judah Hall made waves at the 10th Annual Carolina Crown, a premier long course swimming event that brings together top athletes ages 15-18 from both North Carolina and South Carolina. The event is hosted by North Carolina Swimming in partnership with South Carolina Swimming, and it’s known for showcasing some of the region’s best talent.

Judah didn’t just show up—he showed out, medaling in 3 out of 5 of his events! His achievements include:

  • 🥉 3rd place in the 50m Freestyle
  • 🏅 6th place in the 100m Butterfly
  • 🥉 3rd place team finish in the 200m Freestyle Relay

These are incredible accomplishments, and we couldn’t be prouder of his performance and sportsmanship throughout the event.

Both Coach Z and Judah had a fantastic weekend—learning, growing, and representing our team with pride. They’re bringing back valuable experience, energy, and lessons to share, helping to make our whole squad stronger. Be sure to give them a high five when you see them on deck!

Let’s keep the momentum going—great job, Coach Z and Judah!

If you would like to continue to support other swimmers on our team to push toward greatness, please be so kind as to donate!
